BIO
Clayton Murray, based out of metro-Atlanta, Georgia, is a multi-genre guitarist and engineer who has played for many artists, has played on songs that have had radio time, and has begun his journey into engineering. Clayton has a passion for wanting to make other’s music sound the best it possibly can and wants to help open doors for other people.
Clayton has been passionate about music since early high school but has always had either a toy, or real, guitar around the house since he was a child. He quickly picked up on guitar when he first started and hasn’t put it down since. After playing in bands in and after high school, he wanted to take his abilities to the next level and would go onto attend Atlanta Institute of Music for the guitar certificate program. Where after that began teaching lessons and playing around mainly at local churches.
During the two years after AIMM, Clayton, almost put down the guitar and music for good as nothing seemed to be happening through it. One day he got an audition that would change his life and open up many doors. Clayton started playing for an up-and-coming country duo where he got the opportunity to play in the studio and in well known venues from North to South Georgia. Although no longer with the band, it has opened up other opportunities and struck new passions in him to pursue other bands and return to AIMM to learn about the other side of the studio booth, if you will.
Clayton is the current lead guitarist for The Voice Season 16 Contestant Andrew Jannakos. Andrew's original song "Living On Love" has reached Number 1 on 94.9 Backyard Country and was debuted full band on Nashville's "Today In Nashville" morning show.
Other than music, Clayton, has a huge heart to want to serve and love people, enjoys a video game from time to time, and will take some fries with his shake.
